Seasonal Beers

A beer with hundreds of pounds of fresh Raspberries can only be considered the perfect beer for Summer, right? Right. Beckoning for friends, beer gardens, and sunshine, “Summerly” will aid in the process of forgetting Winter because Winter is the absolute worst thing ever. Also, this one runner-guy we know even said it’s great after intense workouts. Brewed with three different kinds of wheat and 2-row malt from the good ol’ US of A, this wheat ale will refresh even the thirstiest of palates.

2016 GABF Bronze Medal Winner for German-Style Maerzen.Built in 1871, the current La Dolce Vita restaurant in Lemont was once home to The Charles Fruhauf Store. Charles Fruhauf, a German-born immigrant, built his storefront out of Lemont limestone (Athens Marble) and his general store was a Lemont staple throughout the late 1800’s. We brewed this Oktoberfest as homage to him and the beautiful building that still stands to this day. Clean, malty, and just dry enough, this Märzen-style lager is to be consumed in your finest lederhosen or dirndl while eating giant pretzels in an endless beer garden.

Certain styles of beer belong on any brewery’s menu at nearly all times of the year. These beers have no seasonality, no gimmicky trends, and can be enjoyed by all beer lovers alike. To us, that style of beer is Pilsner. A brewer’s beer by all definitions, we brewed this Bohemian Pilsner for our brewers. With that in mind, we're happy to share this beautiful lager with you. Crafted with our reverse osmosis water, 100% Bohemian Pilsner malts, and a blend of German Hallertau and Czech Saaz hops, this crisp and clean pils shows off a soft, delicate malt backing as well as a classic, somewhat fruity, spicy, and floral hop backing. This is lagerbier at it's finest.

We miss our favorite pink beer, "Summerly," in the Winter, so we decided to brew a winterized wheat beer to take its place. "Dreamsicle Flurries" is a wheat beer with loads of orange juice and vanilla bean added. It tastes so good we forgot how much Winter sucks for a few minutes!

Double dry hopped with Mosaic, Citra, and Centennial, this New England IPA is loaded with juicy fruit flavors and aromas. The huge amount of flaked oats add a full and rounded body to balance a very soft bitterness making this super easy drinking for such a big beer. Enjoy this fresh! It won't be around long!

An easy drinking Blonde Ale brewed exclusively for Jewel Osco. Brewed with American 2 Row, Honey Malt, and Flaked Oats, a light Citra hopping in the whirlpool keeps this beer easy drinking and crips with a pleasant melon and citrus hopping.

Brewed with 100% German malt, wheat, hops, and yeast, this beer is super smooth, soft, and clean with no discernible bitterness. A light sweetness and notes of banana and clove make this perfect on a hot, sunny day.

A traditional German-style Kölsch brewed with German Pilsner malt, German hops, and German yeast.

Our German Helles Lager is brewed with German Pils malt, a kiss of German Hallertau Mittelfruh hops, and our house German lager yeast. Prost.

This penguin parties. He likes hip hop and his lagers high in ABV. Bird is the word. 

We make beer, so we really have no reason to condemn most things. On the other hand, you are opinionated (we get it), but why be a buzz kill and express disapproval when you can loudly and enthusiastically express approval? Beer drinking is fun, exciting, and often times challenging, so let’s be Pollyannaish about the experience that each new sip provides. This Belgian Golden Strong Ale is brewed with mostly Belgian pilsner malts and a whole bunch of Belgian candi sugar. We then added lots and lots of apricots because apricots are cool and Shakespeare called them an aphrodisiac in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” We’re not sure if that’s true or not, but if you look at them a certain way, they do look like a butt.

In the 1890’s, Mazzie’s Place (pronounced May-zee) was one of Lemont’s go-to establishments for liquor and gambling. This American pale ale is our modern version of go-to. We dry hop Mazzie with four different American hops to give it a West Coast identity, but a malt bill consisting of wheat and oats leave this feeling more Midwestern and familiar.

Keep it easy and hang loose for a sec, brah, because the Midwest just met its tropical counterpart. By combining the best of both worlds, we’re straight chillin’, but totally working super hard and Midwestern-like with this Coconut Cream Ale. Brewed with barley and a generous amount of corn from America’s Heartland, the base beer keeps things simple after a hard day of detasselling by hand. A mound of freshly toasted coconut adds a light tropical element reminiscent of paradise, beach volleyball, and the all too infrequent day off. Whatever your day may bring, keep it easy.

Named after the philosopher from Voltaire’s “Candide,” Dr Pangloss viewed most situations with unwarranted optimism. Sarcastic, erratic, and fantastical, this beer lives by the mantra that “all is for the best in the best of all possible worlds.” Not defined by a traditional style, Dr Pangloss is brewed with a blend of six different American hops and a healthy amount of roasted malts to pair with the intense citruses.

Winter is just about the worst thing ever, so we can’t stress how nose over tail excited we are knowing our shovels and car scrapers might be taking an extended vacation. Literally translating to “May Bock” in German, Maibock is a strong lager traditionally consumed during the all too brief months that transition Winter to Summer. Meant for beer gardens everywhere, this beer is malt forward and silky smooth with just enough of a noble hop backing to balance the plethora of caramel and bread-like malts.

An American Amber Ale brewed with Maris Otter, Munich, Victory, Caramel, and a touch of Rye and Chocolate malts with a big late addition of Simcoe, Chinook, Centennial, and Idaho 7 hops

We took our multi award winning American Lager, "Lite Thinking," and added Orange and Amaretto making it reminiscent of our favorite day drinking cocktail, The Lunchbox. It also reminded us of the detailed tactics of trading lunch items as a kid. Pudding cup for a cookie, anyone?
